Mary is an American Quilter's Society certified appraiser.
A quilter appraiser is "expected to assign a value to a quilt determined by a variety of methods. These methods are based upon factual data gathered from consummated sales in the current market place." -AQS website
Mary offers both verbal and written appraisals. If you are in question of which is better for your quilt and needs, don't hesitate to contact Mary.
When you schedule a verbal appraisal with Mary, she meets with you about your quilt and shares her knowledge of the materials, techniques, and more information about your piece. Mary will tell you the value of your quilt, however, you will not receive a written document with your appraisal.
A verbal appraisal is $25
When you schedule a written appraisal with Mary, she meets with you about your quilt and gathers information about the piece. After your time with Mary, she researches information pertaining to your item and prepares a document certified for sale, insurance, or donation purchases that you will receive in the mail.
A written appraisal is $75
