This is a 3-4 hour workshop that allows for an in depth look at quilts that were started by one generation and finished by another. You will see numerous examples of both vintage and new compilation pieces that incorporate unfinished blocks, tops and pieces. Mary reviews the history of multi-generational pieces and introduces you to some of the modern innovators of this medium. You will learn about documenting and labeling your own "new" pieces, tips to honor those quilters whose work we finish and have an opportunity to ask lots of questions.
